Hello & Welcome to the forum! :)

When you register to be a participant of this forum you will need to provide a VALID email address.   Accounts that are created without a valid email will be deleted.

Please be sure that your email address is correct and that you add @apsfa.org to your safe list so our reply doesn't end up flagged as spam.  We also won't fill out forums to "prove" we're not spam. That's your responsibility.

Sign in using the username and password you made up when you registered.

This private forum, APS Friends & Support, is funded by and provided to you as a free service by the APS Foundation of America, Inc.   This forum was created as a part of the APS Foundation of America, Inc.'s Mission Statement and Goals.

If you would like to support the efforts of the APS Foundation of America, Inc and see this forum continue, without charge to you at this time, please support it by donating to the APSFA.

As of 12/12/05 we require ALL registered participants to post an introduction on the forum, including the following information in the Introduction folder to request access to this private forum:

    Your first name
    Location (city & country)

How APS effects you or your loved one

:pc: Post your Intro: http://www.apsforum.com/new_topic.php?forum_id=54
:pc: Forum Tutorial: http://www.apsfa.org/forumtut.htm

As of 01/01/06 a "get to know you phase" has been implemented since this is a private forum. This is usually a few posts in to your intro. We just want to get a feel for people and have more than just an introduction to make an approval/denial decision to our private forum.

As of 1/15/07 we have added back in the email verification. When you join you will recieve an email with a link to click and verify your email and account. Please put @apsfa.org emails on your safelist and check yor spam folder for the email if you do not recieve it right away.

PLEASE Make sure that the email forum@apsfa.org and also @apsfa.org emails are NOT caught up in your SPAM/JUNK filters. You will be getting emails from us from time to time.  We also won't fill out forums to "prove" we're not spam. That's your responsibility.

We are trying to make this forum a safe and friendly environment where members will feel secure enough to share your experiences, offer and ask for advice.

Thanks for your cooperation.

On June 1, 2008, the APS Friends & Support Forum will be implementing a new policy.  You have 6 months, from the date you registered, to post your full introduction, or your screen name will be deleted to conserve bandwidth.

If you would like to have access to the full forum, you MUST post your introduction in the introduction folder. You can post your intro at the following link:  http://www.apsforum.com/forum54/ .

Your introduction should include your first name (no last names, please), your location (city, state & country) and your APS story or how APS affects your life. Without this information, you will not be granted access to the full forum.

The direct link to post in the introduction folder is http://www.apsforum.com/new_topic.php?forum_id=8 .

If you are confused and need more assistance, please see our new member tutorial at http://www.apsfa.org/forumtut.html

Please also be sure to review the rules before you start posting: http://www.apsforum.com/forum7/6285.html

The recent changes have come about because our forum has been plagued with banned people gaining access under multiple screen names and pretending to be someone who they are not. I am sure that you can understand, we're trying to protect our participants from forum troublemakers.

Please feel free to email us at forum@apsfa.org if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.

Thank you.
