Hi, (How do they check my INR?) Always a vein draw. (How long to get the results?) Sometimes they call with the results the next day. Most of the time I have to call for the results...So I would say I get the results within one or two days.

I will only let them check my INR with a vein draw. Even though my medical records state "Vein Draw Only", last month there was a new technician in the lab. She sent me to the room with the finger prick machine and proceeded to tell me that is the easiest way to do the Protime test. I then proceeded to explain to her about Antiphospholipid Antibodies. My hospital clinic has started posting lab results on a secured website, so I always know my INR within a few hours. The Coumadin clinic nurse still calls me the same day to review my dosage. I have been theraputic for a while, so I only have to test monthly.

I have a vein drawn test at the lab and get results in several days. I usually call my General practitioner. I use to have the Cardiologist office monitor it, but they had a hard time understanding that APS causes me to have to be at a higher INR .

I always have a vein draw - I get the results the same day. I too am theraputic so I only have it done once a month or so.

That doesn't surprise me, when i was diagnosed with APS my PC had to look it up himself and I still run into doctors that I have to explain it too or who have to go educate themselves before they treat me.

I get vein draws. Always. I usually get the results later that day or the very next day. I usually have to go every two weeks. Occasionally I get too low or high and have to go every week or three weeks.

I have a vein draw and know the results within 10 minutes. They do not let me leave the office without knowing my results and any adjustments to my meds. They never allow me to go more than 2 weeks between draws even if I and within range.
